Giannis Manousakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Pirani in the 3rd minute of the match. Egídio Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. If Egídio Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gilvan Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Capão Redondo's protests and gave Gilvan Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Gilvan Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giannis Manousakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Pirani in the 47th minute of play.

In the 58th minute, F.C Capão Redondo's Enio Braga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Giannis Manousakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Pirani in the 61st minute. Gilvan Pirani's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Giannis Manousakis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Engenharia Civil's Egídio Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Egídio Sá made a precise shot to the right of Nildo Sampaio. F.C Capão Redondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. A sloppy throw-in by Inácio de Salles in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Engenharia Civil's Marquinhos de Souza. If Egídio Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nildo Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Sá in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
