Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hamílton Freire started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Eugênio Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmo de Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Raúl Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, Muriahe's Raúl Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dalmo de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17thth minute of the game Oséias de Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aratingauba FC's Dalmo de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Vladimir Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muriahe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Aratingauba FC's Fabiano Fernandes got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 37th minute Muriahe were awarded a corner. Luciano Reis went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Muriahe booed when Aratingauba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalmo de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Aratingauba FC's Alberto Meira got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Muriahe were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséias de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Eugênio Reis took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo de Mendonça. Dalmo de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With his leg Dalmo de Mendonça managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Muriahe's Oséias de Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Tony da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Leão struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dalmo de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muriahe. Eugênio Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo de Mendonça having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias de Azevedo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Oséias de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony da Cunha in the 94th minute of play forced Aratingauba FC's goalkeeper Dalmo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muriahe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
