Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Váldson Ferreira in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademar Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Breno Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Walmyr Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestrinos F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Vander might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ademar Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breno Vander ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ginete SC's goalkeeper Ademar Xavier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Váldson Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ademar Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdemar Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Maia in the 30th minute of play. Ginete SC's Ademar Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Ferreira in the 32nd minute of play. Váldson Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Moraes got free with Ademar Xavier in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ademar Xavier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Ademar Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Ferreira in the 59th minute of the match. Walmyr Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ademar Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Sérgio Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ginete SC and the Palestrinos F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card.
