In the 12th minute, D.E.I.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nico Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A very good chance. D.E.I.C's Orlando Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save D.E.I.C from getting a goal against them. Atletico-MG's Willian Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Abraão was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Willian Bertassi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Willian Bertassi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Nico Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Orlando Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Abraão having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Fernando Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in D.E.I.C's zone, Nico Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Abraão came out of the goal and Nico Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Fernando Silveira hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Orlando Abraão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atletico-MG fully deserved thier win.
