The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murillo da Silva during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Murillo da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Valdo Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Rezende having to make a save. William Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Hermes in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Capoeirao SS booed when Brasiliense DF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes, Falcão Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capoeirao SS and the Brasiliense DF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Capoeirao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Gugu Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brasiliense DF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Gugu Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Falcão Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Carneiro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dráuzio Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capoeirao SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brasiliense DF's Severino Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Brasiliense DF from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Brasiliense DF's zone, Dráuzio Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Carneiro came out of the goal and Dráuzio Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gugu Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Falcão Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capoeirao SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráuzio Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Carneiro having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Gugu Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Falcão Bezerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Severino Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Brasiliense DF's goalkeeper Severino Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dráuzio Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Carneiro having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Capoeirao SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
