Kléberson Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Moraes having to interfere. In the 27th minute Hélio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Baiano in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Alberto Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cauã Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute of the match Edgar Gaúcho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Alberto Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kléberson Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Moraes having to interfere. Cauã Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Madureira having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Róbson Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Róbson Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauã Tepedino to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cauã Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betão Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Carlos Alberto Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo da Costa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Kléberson Baiano made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. EC Vitória's Carlos Alberto Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 minutes, Yan Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poeirama FC and the EC Vitória players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Poeirama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Sena to maneuver through the defense. If Róbson Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Betão Dante fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poeirama FC's protests and gave Betão Dante a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Poeirama FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Betão Dante hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, EC Vitória's Deivid Nóbrega tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind EC Vitória's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Kléberson Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Alberto Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 79th minute, Hélio Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The nice shot from Kléberson Baiano in the 83rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Carlos Alberto Moraes had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Hélio Silveira struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Carlos Alberto Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poeirama FC. In the 93rd minute, Hélio Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléberson Baiano in the 95th minute. Carlos Alberto Moraes was a little too slow when Hélio Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-4. The EC Vitória supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Poeirama FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Poeirama FC.
