Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raí Catarinense started the match with the kick off. Raí Catarinense's late challenge caught a Brigue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. When Kiko Batista fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brigue's protests and gave Kiko Batista a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Brigue got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Batista. In the 9th minute, Fred Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kiko Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Arantes made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Raí Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Glauco Pereira lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Galia's Luizão Guedes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luís Fabiano Arantes. In the 24th minute, Ciro Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Ciro Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Luizão Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galia's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Galia's Raí Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fabiano Arantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nilson Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fabiano Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Galia's Raí Catarinense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Raí Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Luís Fabiano Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Raí Catarinense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fabiano Arantes having to make a save. After 56 minutes, Raí Catarinense made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brigue's Luís Fabiano Arantes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gildo Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gildo Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gildo Jacinto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Catarinense in the 62nd minute of play forced Brigue's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Brigue's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Marquez came free, but Luís Fabiano Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Raí Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raí Catarinense in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fabiano Arantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Cordeiro got free with Richard Paiva in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
