The crowd rose to their feet as XI Campeões's Joaquim Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Zonta. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 14th play minute Samuel Melberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luiz Zonta. 2-0. Lucjan Ligas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luiz Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 37 minutes on the clock, Cléber Araújo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. If Dida Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Melberg to make the kick off. Dida Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Luiz Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Ligas in the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, XI Campeões's Alex Toscano got control of the ball when Dida Pernambucano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dida Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chopinzinho FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Amauri Mendes hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Régis Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes in the game, Dida Pernambucano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alex Toscano having to interfere. The supporters of XI Campeões booed when Chopinzinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, XI Campeões's Lucjan Ligas got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
