The referee ignored Salinas SC's protests and gave Alessandro Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Alessandro Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Costa in the 18th minute of play forced Salinas SC's goalkeeper Sérgio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Aparecido in the 20th minute of the match. Inácio Batista hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Tróia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Massa.
