Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Itapirucu's Lúcio Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Itapirucu's Lúcio Moura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amauri Paraibano. Amauri Paraibano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 7th minute Oséas Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Lucas during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Itapirucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Andrézinho de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Leal in the 14th minute of play. Soure's Oséas Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Soure's Augusto Fontes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eurico Paraíba in the 20 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséas Leal in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrézinho de Moraes saved Itapirucu from getting behind. Amauri Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Amauri Paraibano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Freitas in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Soure's goalkeeper Amauri Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Freitas. Oséas Leal didn't quite understand what happened when in the 29 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Amauri Paraibano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Lucas in the 32nd minute. Andrézinho de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséas Leal's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Júnior Toscano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. When Nicolas Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapirucu's protests and gave Nicolas Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Itapirucu getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nicolas Freitas hit a great ball. Oséas Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho de Moraes having to interfere. Valdemar Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Moura during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itapirucu's Lúcio Moura got a free kick in the 41st minute. Oséas Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Itapirucu's goalkeeper Andrézinho de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56 minutes, João Augusto Vides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itapirucu and the Soure players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Itapirucu getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. João Augusto Vides hit a great ball. Andrézinho de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Germano Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Amauri Paraibano. Soure's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 67 minutes into the match, Itapirucu's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Maranhense came free, but Andrézinho de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soure's Valdemar Valladares suffered a concussion after 67 minutes and had to leave the field. Nicolas Freitas was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 69 played minutes Itapirucu got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Freitas. Alberto Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho de Moraes having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Soure's Alberto Maranhense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Soure's Alberto Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Augusto Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho de Moraes having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Maranhense in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrézinho de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Ademir Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Soure players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
