Wilson Freitas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Edson Mangueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute of the match, Dênis Batista got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edson Mangueira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 19th match minute, Old School Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Nunes to maneuver through the defense. If Wilson Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Old School Soccer's zone, Dráuzio Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edson Mangueira came out of the goal and Dráuzio Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Locomotives FC's Wilson Freitas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Locomotives FC's Sidnei Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Carneiro in the 41st minute of play. Vânderson Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sidnei Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilson Freitas to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilson Freitas in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Mangueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edson Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magno Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Locomotives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Carneiro came free, but Sidnei Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dráuzio Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Locomotives FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Vidal couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Locomotives FC booed when Old School Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Wilson Freitas in the 96th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Edson Mangueira's left hand side. The Locomotives FC fans' excitement grew in the 98th match minute when Locomotives FC's Wilson Freitas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee ended the match the Locomotives FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
