The Piranj fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Piranj's Jeremias Alvarenga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute Jeremias Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piranj were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Real Madruga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Bezerra took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Luís Fernando Proença to score against Fábio Pirani in Real Madruga's goal. 0-2 after 22 minutes. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Cauã Batista sped through Real Madruga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fábio Pirani. After having played for 28 minutes, Antônio Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madruga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fábio Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Osvaldinho Marques's late challenge caught a Piranj's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Marques helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Real Madruga got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Marques. 39 minutes into the match, Real Madruga's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Alvarenga came free, but Fábio Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Alvarenga in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Cauã Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cauã Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fábio Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antônio Dias made a kick off. Jeremias Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fábio Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Madruga's Fábio Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Batista in the 56th minute of play. Cesinha Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Alvarenga succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Jeremias Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th match minute, Piranj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Viana to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Real Madruga booed when Piranj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Loureiro shot from long distance in the 81st minute, but Fábio Pirani was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. With 83 minutes on the clock, Gildo Cruz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 82 minutes into the game, one of Real Madruga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Real Madruga's Fábio Pirani got control of the ball when Jeremias Alvarenga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Real Madruga's goalkeeper Fábio Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Alvarenga. Jeremias Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fábio Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Batista in the 99th minute of play forced Real Madruga's goalkeeper Fábio Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Piranj could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Madruga throughout the match.
