But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Augusto Zonta couldn't finish the play. Xapetuba SC's Natã Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Meira in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Xapetuba SC's goalkeeper Natã Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jefferson Meira. Xapetuba SC's Natã Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Cosme in the 17th minute of play. If Maurício de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Reinaldo Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jefferson Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xapetuba SC's Natã Sabóia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reinaldo Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Natã Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Xapetuba SC's goalkeeper Natã Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano Pernambucano. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Augusto Zonta to strike the kick off in the second half. The Acapucai SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Roberto Vides's late challenge caught a Acapucai SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 74th minute Reinaldo Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acapucai SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
