Dudu da Cunha came out of the goal and Hamílton Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itaiba's Dudu da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Fernandes in the 5th minute of play. Alberto Kraus in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dudu da Cunha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 12 minutes into the game, Arvaja FC's Arlindo Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alberto Kraus sped through Itaiba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dudu da Cunha. After having played for 19 minutes, Alberto Kraus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvaja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Kraus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Itaiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Proença to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 29 in the game by Alberto Kraus from a close distance when the talented Dudu da Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Itaiba's players were relieved. Carlos Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Alberto Kraus was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Arvaja FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alberto Kraus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Dudu da Cunha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 47 minutes into the game, Alberto Kraus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dudu da Cunha. Alberto Kraus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. Cícero Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Arvaja FC's Hamílton Botelho got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Luiz Fábio Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Kraus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Alberto Kraus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Arvaja FC booed when Itaiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wesley Proença fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaiba's protests and gave Wesley Proença a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Wesley Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes Dinei Veloso shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Dudu da Cunha when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Alberto Kraus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Kraus in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes in the game, Wesley Proença fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Umberto Lopez having to interfere. If Alberto Kraus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Dinei Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arvaja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Arvaja FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
