Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Manoel Barbosa made the kick off and thus started the match. When Nuno Massa came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Terrinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Massa couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Natuba's goalkeeper Marcelo Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Terrinha's Nuno Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Luiz Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terrinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Terrinha's Luiz Fonseca in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Natuba's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Barbosa in the 19th minute of play forced Terrinha's goalkeeper Dráusio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Salles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dráusio da Costa. Terrinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 23 played minutes Terrinha got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Jacinto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Barbosa in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio da Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Marcelo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Sarmento in the 32nd minute of play forced Terrinha's goalkeeper Dráusio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Natuba booed when Terrinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manoel Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio da Costa having to interfere. Albertino Branco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Cristian Alves scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráusio da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cristian Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Natuba were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fonseca made a kick off. Manoel Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio da Costa having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Cristian Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dráusio da Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nuno Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Medeiros having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Matos during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Natuba got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Matos. 66 minutes into the match, Natuba's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Massa came free, but Marcelo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Luiz Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Natuba's Marcelo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Massa in the 79th minute of the match. Luiz Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natuba's Marcelo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fonseca in the 86th minute of play. The Terrinha supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Natuba's performance. The match ended with a win for Natuba.
