Spectators: 6643 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1643, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Bombas EC booed when Kashiwa Reysol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Silvinho Messias sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kashiwa Reysol's Geraldo Fontes didn't even have to move. Maurinho Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurinho Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bebeto Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Geraldo Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Cunha having to interfere. When Maurinho Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Kashiwa Reysol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bebeto Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sílvio Romero came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Bombas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Romero couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes Kashiwa Reysol got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Cavalcante. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kashiwa Reysol fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Bombas EC's Silvinho Messias got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Geraldo Fontes. Luís Eduardo Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Kashiwa Reysol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Fontes was a little too slow when Sílvio Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0.

In the 54th minute Maurinho Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Sílvio Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geraldo Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Romero in the 65th minute of play forced Kashiwa Reysol's goalkeeper Geraldo Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Fontes having to interfere. Kashiwa Reysol's Geraldo Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Romero in the 70th minute of play. Bombas EC's Sílvio Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Douglas Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Kashiwa Reysol's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Romero came free, but Geraldo Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sílvio Romero came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Bombas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Romero couldn't finish the play. Bombas EC's Douglas Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geraldo Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Geraldo Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Romero came free in the 97th minute and tried to tip the ball over Geraldo Fontes, but to the joy of Kashiwa Reysol's supporters the ball went over. Bombas EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
