Carlos Fernando Velloso came out of the goal and Adilson Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Fernandes's late challenge caught a Tupe EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Túlio Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. Hélio Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Carlos Fernando Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Erasmo Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Apocalipse 16's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
