Ciro Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Duarte Brasil made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Tupe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Matorin came free, but Duarte Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Tupe EC's Evandro Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elder Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 30th minute, Hélio Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Matorin in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Brococo's Albertinho da Rocha made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte Brasil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evandro Pereira's late challenge caught a Brococo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tupe EC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Evandro Pereira hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Tupe EC's goalkeeper Duarte Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieguinho de Sousa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Matorin in the 45th minute of play forced Tupe EC's goalkeeper Duarte Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Tupe EC's Duarte Brasil got control of the ball when Eriberto Alvarenga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélio Marques made a kick off. Evandro Pereira hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Dieguinho de Sousa scored 4-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duarte Brasil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
