Josué da Mata started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Lucuri SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Romero came free, but Cláudio Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tião de Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristóvão Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tião de Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. After 12 minutes, Josué da Mata made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Iomere's Cristóvão Quintal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tião de Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Cristóvão Quintal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tião de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristóvão Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Quintal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião de Amaral in the 22nd minute. Tião de Amaral took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristóvão Quintal. Cristóvão Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué da Mata in the 27th minute of play forced Iomere's goalkeeper Cristóvão Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto de Amorim lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Iomere fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Cristóvão Quintal went to the wrong direction when Magno Chaves was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 36th minute, Hélder Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of Cláudio Brito. Lucuri SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The wind increased when Hélder Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Lucuri SC's Josué da Mata in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Norberto Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Lucuri SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. Norberto Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Josué da Mata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Quintal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Cristóvão Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué da Mata in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Hélder Fernandez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cláudio Brito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hugo Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Iomere's Cristóvão Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué da Mata in the 76th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Tião de Amaral notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Iomere's Cristóvão Quintal. Cristóvão Quintal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 87 minutes, Tião de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucuri SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Iomere getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Arí Coutinho hit a great ball. Cristóvão Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué da Mata in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Iomere's goal looked a bit too open when Tião de Amaral came free, but Cristóvão Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Iomere players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lucuri SC.
