Spectators: 7301 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) In the 5th match minute, Tarauaca SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Maia to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrézinho Negri in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Simões saved Tarauaca SC from getting behind. In the 12th match minute, Goias SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Zanette to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Andrézinho Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoni Wawro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilton Britto came out and tried to block the shot, but Antoni Wawro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Wilton Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Wawro in the 20th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Goias SS got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Carneiro. Tarauaca SC's Antoni Wawro got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agenor Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Britto having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antoni Wawro got free with Wilton Britto in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antoni Wawro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Charlos in the 29th minute of play forced Goias SS's goalkeeper Wilton Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antoni Wawro in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilton Britto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 33rd minute Wlodzimierz Charlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antoni Wawro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilton Britto having to make a save. Antoni Wawro got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Wilton Britto handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Luizinho Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarauaca SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizinho Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilton Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antoni Wawro was the one to do the kick off. If Antoni Wawro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Andrézinho Negri took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Oswaldo Simões to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Antoni Wawro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilton Britto was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the game, Márcio Maia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Wilton Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Antoni Wawro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizinho Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Wilton Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goias SS were furious when Reginaldo Cearense was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goias SS! Antoni Wawro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Wilton Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Macedo in the 78th minute of the match. Wilton Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Wawro in the 79th minute of play. Luizinho Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Goias SS's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Wawro came free, but Wilton Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes, Antoni Wawro made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Goias SS's Wilton Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute Antoni Wawro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Tarauaca SC's Antoni Wawro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilton Britto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
