A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Fortress F.C's Nildo Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júnior do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fortress F.C's Luisão Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Motta in the 42nd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Os Alemon's goalkeeper Júnior do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luisão Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Mesquita in the 62nd minute of the match. Carlinhos de Andrade hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Dênis Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Fortress F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Ramos couldn't finish the play. Os Alemon's Júnior do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Ramos in the 85th minute of play. Serginho Miranda struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Júnior do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortress F.C. Os Alemon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 played minutes Fortress F.C got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Cabral. In the 96th minute of the match Percy Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luisão Faria skillfully saved the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fortress F.C had played much better football throughout.
