André Luís Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to The Wulfs getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cristóvão Fontes hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, Accrington Stanley FC's Samuca Loureiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gláuber Maia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Accrington Stanley FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Pietrantoni in the 14th minute of play forced Accrington Stanley FC's goalkeeper André Luís Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Accrington Stanley FC's André Luís Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Pietrantoni in the 19th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Accrington Stanley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Davide Pietrantoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Luís Aguiar. Accrington Stanley FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davide Pietrantoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubens Gerber during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Accrington Stanley FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Gerber. In the 45th minute, Davide Pietrantoni made a precise shot to the right of André Luís Aguiar. Accrington Stanley FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davide Pietrantoni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, one of The Wulfs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Wulfs. Samuca Loureiro shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Davide Pietrantonis short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got André Luís Aguiar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Maurício de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gláuber Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luiz Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Davide Pietrantoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of The Wulfs booed when Accrington Stanley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Accrington Stanley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Pietrantoni came free, but André Luís Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davide Pietrantoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but André Luís Aguiar made a huge save. Davide Pietrantoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Luís Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. One of Accrington Stanley FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Wulfs:s goal. The Accrington Stanley FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. The Wulfs were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
