Brumado SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Himalaia the free kick. Himalaia were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Brumado SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Guedes took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Samuel Guedes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dênis Cardoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Giuseppe Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
