Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eliézer Coelho sped through Brumado SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dênis Cardoso. The audience cheered when Jeferson Lara's long shot passed Dênis Cardoso's right side. It was 0-2, 14 minutes into the match. If Rômulo Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dênis Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilvan Toledo got free with Sverker Pilblad in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Cotia Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Alves came free, but Sverker Pilblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliézer Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cotia Esporte Clube's Eliézer Coelho in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sverker Pilblad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 41 minutes, Hélder Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brumado SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dênis Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Cotia Esporte Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 played minutes Brumado SS got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Seco. After a defensive mix-up in Cotia Esporte Clube's zone, Hélder Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sverker Pilblad came out of the goal and Hélder Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes, Cotia Esporte Clube's Aílton Campidelis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dênis Cardoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cotia Esporte Clube reached it. Dênis Cardoso came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Cotia Esporte Clube's Rômulo Prado. But to his dismay, Rômulo Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliézer Coelho in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dênis Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Brumado SS's Gilvan Toledo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Dênis Cardoso was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Eliézer Coelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliézer Coelho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Hélder Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Pilblad having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Hélder Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brumado SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sverker Pilblad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cotia Esporte Clube's Sverker Pilblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Alves in the 85th minute of play. Dênis Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Eliézer Coelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Cotia Esporte Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cotia Esporte Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
