But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliézer Coelho couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Rômulo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th match minute, Cotia Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cotia Esporte Clube's Sverker Pilblad got control of the ball when Percival Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line.
