After having played for 23 minutes, Artur Gorzkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xl Garotos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Gorzkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvaldo Botelho in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Xl Garotos getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Bruninho das Neves hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin de Sousa in the 31st minute of play forced Cajueirinho SS's goalkeeper Maurinho Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Maurinho Maia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Yan Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Xl Garotos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Moreno couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the game, Yan Moreno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurinho Maia. Yan Moreno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 47th minute, Xl Garotos's Joris Peysson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Furlan to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Cajueirinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano Passos to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Cajueirinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Gorzkiewicz came free, but Maurinho Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Xl Garotos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Camargo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Xl Garotos booed when Cajueirinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Pedro Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurinho Maia came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Xl Garotos's Joris Peysson. But to his dismay, Joris Peysson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 89th minute Franklin de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes, Xl Garotos's Artur Gorzkiewicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurinho Maia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xl Garotos reached it. The supporters of Cajueirinho SS booed when Xl Garotos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joris Peysson in the 97th minute of play forced Cajueirinho SS's goalkeeper Maurinho Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cajueirinho SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
