Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Varzeao's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias do Nascimento came free, but Pedrão Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wanderson Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrão Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Claudinho Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Wanderson Cardoso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Alexandria's Jorge Campidelis. Jorge Campidelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Alexandria booed when Varzeao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Varzeao getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Orlando Bertassi hit a great ball. Pedrão Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Cordeiro in the 27th minute of play. Oséias do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséias do Nascimento in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrão Alves saved Varzeao from getting behind. Oséias do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pedrão Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséias do Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Claudinho Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandria's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias do Nascimento in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Sidney Costa sped through Alexandria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Campidelis. Pedrão Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Cordeiro in the 68th minute. Pedrão Alves made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Claudinho Cordeiro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Varzeao's Orlando Bertassi got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Varzeao's Pedrão Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Varzeao from getting a goal against them. Orlando Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Varzeao got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Bertassi. Claudinho Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Pedrão Alves made a huge save. Breno Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes, Varzeao's Manfredo Vianna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Campidelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varzeao reached it. Sidney Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinho Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Alves having to interfere. Alexandria's Oséias do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Cordeiro got free with Pedrão Alves in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sidney Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Alves having to interfere. Sidney Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jorge Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
