To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Toninho Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escadinha EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaltino Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Capuaba's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Cruz came free, but Rodolfo Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Guerra hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Toninho Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Cordeiro. Capuaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toninho Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jorge Valadares put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isaltino Dante. When Capuaba's Jorge Valadares in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Escadinha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capuaba the free kick. Túlio Rezende, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Cruz made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chicão Varela in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaltino Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaltino Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chicão Varela got free with Isaltino Dante in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute of the match Ramón da Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodolfo Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Gabriel Vergílio during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Capuaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Vergílio to maneuver through the defense.
