Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sandro Cruz kicked off to start the match. Isaltino Dante made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Jorge Valadares sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Cruz in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isaltino Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Valadares in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes Escadinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Carioca. If Toninho Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Chicão Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capuaba and the Escadinha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Capuaba getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Chicão Varela hit a great ball. Rodolfo Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Capuaba's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Cruz came free, but Rodolfo Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Munhoz in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaltino Dante saved Escadinha EC from getting behind. Toninho Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Cordeiro having to interfere. Sérgio Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Isaltino Dante made a huge save. Sérgio Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Isaltino Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaltino Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Escadinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Munhoz came free, but Isaltino Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes in the game, Jorge Valadares fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Isaltino Dante having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isaltino Dante came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Capuaba's Jorge Valadares. But to his dismay, Jorge Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 67th minute, Jorge Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Escadinha EC booed when Capuaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Sérgio Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capuaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaltino Dante came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Capuaba's Sérgio Munhoz. But to his dismay, Sérgio Munhoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sérgio Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, José Vítor Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Válbson Nóbrega sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Capuaba's Rodolfo Cordeiro didn't even have to move. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Gabriel Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Capuaba got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Vergílio. Isaltino Dante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Valadares went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Jorge Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
