Dé Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Uruque SC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rogério Vides hit a great ball. With his leg Rubinho Schmidt managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Uruque SC's Daniel Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Atafona's Vicente Paraense in 15 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dé Araújo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Rubinho Schmidt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dorival Queirós showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Ulisses Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dé Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, André Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atafona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruque SC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atafona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Uruque SC. Dadá de Brito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rubinho Schmidt. 2-0. Vicente Paraense struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dé Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atafona. In the 36th minute, Ulisses Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atafona's Rubinho Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Atafona from getting a goal against them. Uruque SC's Dadá de Brito shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rubinho Schmidt but with some difficulty. Dorival Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Schmidt having to interfere. If Ulisses Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Queirós was the one to do the kick off. Atafona's Rubinho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. After 58 played minutes Atafona got a freekick which was hit by Vicente França. Dorival Queirós struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rubinho Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruque SC. In the 70th minute Daniel Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Veiga in the 80th minute of play forced Uruque SC's goalkeeper Dé Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Ulisses Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Uruque SC's zone, Ulisses Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Araújo came out of the goal and Ulisses Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ulisses Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Paraense in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Araújo saved Uruque SC from getting behind. Dorival Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Schmidt having to interfere. Ulisses Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Uruque SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
