Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hermínio Nóbrega kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeferson Couto in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aílton Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hermínio Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Batal's Hermínio Nóbrega got a free kick in the 19th minute. Aílton Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Samuca Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Schmidt having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Batal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Torres to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Frank Torres scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Samuca Porto fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Gugu Barbosa scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aílton Schmidt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuca Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Aílton Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 75th minute when Samuca Porto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Hermínio Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Batal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Samuca Porto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Aílton Schmidt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Samuca Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Embiral supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Embiral would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
