Douglas Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gil Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Eme getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. José Vítor Xavier hit a great ball. Gil Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Barral having to interfere. With a little luck, palmeiras fc's Cícero Saraiva got control of the ball when Artur Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line.
