Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chicuru's Osvaldinho Mesquita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Chicuru got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel de Sousa. Joel de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tales Freitas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joel de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Tales Freitas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Chicuru's Luiz Eduardo Araújo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tarcisio Dias in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joel de Amaral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 17 minutes into the match, Chicuru's goalkeeper Joel de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcisio Dias. Chicuru's Joel de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Freitas in the 19th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Chicuru's goalkeeper Joel de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcisio Dias. 29 minutes into the game, Tales Freitas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel de Amaral. Tales Freitas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Erik Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passamanes's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Dias got free with Joel de Amaral in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dário Teles hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tales Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Tarcisio Dias sped through Chicuru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel de Amaral. Chicuru were furious when Aírton Bueno was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chicuru! After having played for 64 minutes, Tarcisio Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Passamanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chicuru's Joel de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Freitas in the 66th minute of play. Erik Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Joel de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tales Freitas's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Chicuru's Joel de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Machado in the 78th minute of play. Chicuru's attentive Giuseppe Ceresso managed to snatch the ball when Dário Teles made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Manfredo Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manfredo Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Passamanes got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Linhares. The supporters of Chicuru booed when Passamanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Freitas in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Passamanes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chicuru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
