Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Natã Coutinho started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Euriapolis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Coutinho came free, but Tibúrcio Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tibúrcio Fernandez was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Sandrinho Prado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Quaresma in the 15th minute. Sandrinho Prado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aílton Passos. When Aílton Passos fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Euriapolis SC's protests and gave Aílton Passos a yellow card for diving instead. Aílton Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Carlinhos Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tibúrcio Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Euriapolis SC's Tony Quaresma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandrinho Prado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Tony Quaresma left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Euriapolis SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 29th minute, Natã Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandrinho Prado came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Euriapolis SC's Tony Quaresma. But to his dismay, Tony Quaresma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 38 played minutes, Ori SC's Manuel de Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tibúrcio Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ori SC reached it. Natã Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Euriapolis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Mello came free, but Tibúrcio Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Andrézinho Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ori SC and the Euriapolis SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Ori SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Moreno to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Renatinho de Queirós managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Quaresma was the one to do the kick off. Ori SC's Sandrinho Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Quaresma in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Dias in the 57th minute of play forced Ori SC's goalkeeper Sandrinho Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Euriapolis SC got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Santana. After recieving a nice pass, Ori SC's Manuel de Senna tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sandrinho Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Euriapolis SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ori SC the free kick. After 72 played minutes Euriapolis SC got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Tepedino. After 77 minutes, Geraldo Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ori SC and the Euriapolis SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Ori SC got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Loureiro. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Euriapolis SC's Tony Quaresma fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Aílton Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Natã Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ori SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Coutinho couldn't finish the play. Carlinhos Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tibúrcio Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 95 played minutes, Euriapolis SC's Jonas Prestes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sandrinho Prado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Euriapolis SC reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ori SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Euriapolis SC.
