The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Fiori Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Loyola. Jurupeba EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fiori Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Erik Ramalho hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Fiori Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Osvaldo Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Paulão de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Loyola was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Jurupeba EC's Osvaldo Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Amaral in the 24th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as São Salvador's Paulão de Amaral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osvaldo Loyola. That made the score 3-0 after 25 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Moraes during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30th play minutes Paulão de Amaral shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Osvaldo Loyola and just under the crossbar into goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Agostinho Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agostinho Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Paulão de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the São Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Jurupeba EC's Osvaldo Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão de Amaral in the 57th minute of play. If Paulão de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fiori Amaral scored 9-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dé Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. São Salvador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
