The supporters of Cocala booed when Corredor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Adriano Lopes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Mangueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Donato Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Zilles in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Corredor's zone, Adalberto Zilles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Mangueira came out of the goal and Adalberto Zilles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Adalberto Zilles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Mangueira. Corredor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Zilles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Gilberto Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corredor's Donato Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Novaes in the 29th minute of play. Adalberto Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Donato Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Botelho got free with Luís Paulo Saraiva in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Afonso Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Corredor getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Joélson Andrade hit a great ball. Afonso Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cocala's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Saraiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Corredor getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gustavo Valladares hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Valladares to strike the kick off in the second half. Afonso Novaess short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Donato Mangueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mário de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Mangueira having to interfere. With a little luck, Corredor's Donato Mangueira got control of the ball when Adalberto Zilles tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Cocala's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Botelho came free, but Luís Paulo Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Paulo Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Valladares in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paulo Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Valladares in the 81st minute of play forced Cocala's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Donato Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Cocala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Faustino to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Botelho in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Saraiva saved Cocala from getting behind. Luís Paulo Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Valladares in the 88th minute of the match. If Gustavo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cocala walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
