Deivid Salgado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Ferreira having to make a save. The supporters of Araras EC booed when Castro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Abel Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Guimarães hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Castro's Jarbas Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 罗国政 in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Castro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Mazza to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Araras EC's 罗国政 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarbas Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Palmeira in the 26th minute of play forced Araras EC's goalkeeper Mazarópi Segundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deivid Salgado in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarbas Ferreira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Castro fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Castro's Kaká Torres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute, Deivid Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarbas Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 41st minute Valeriu Magherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Castro's zone, Valeriu Magherescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Ferreira came out of the goal and Valeriu Magherescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deivid Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Deivid Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Castro defense, Deivid Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Ferreira. The Castro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Jarbas Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deivid Salgado's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Deivid Salgado notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Castro's Jarbas Ferreira. Jarbas Ferreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Araras EC's zone, Kaká Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazarópi Segundo came out of the goal and Kaká Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mazarópi Segundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Torres in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Cristóvão Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazarópi Segundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid Salgado in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Ferreira saved Castro from getting behind. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Deivid Salgado sped through Castro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarbas Ferreira. In the 90th minute, Deivid Salgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araras EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. 94 minutes into the match, Castro's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Magherescu came free, but Jarbas Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Torres in the 95th minute of play forced Araras EC's goalkeeper Mazarópi Segundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Mazarópi Segundo made a huge save. Araras EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
