The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fabiano Ferraz got free with Diamantino das Neves in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Slawomir Logewnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Barbosa in the 28th minute of play forced Lidal's goalkeeper Diamantino das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Lidal's Richard de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Fernando de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Mumbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Luís Fabiano Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martelo FC's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Luís Fabiano Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Slawomir Logewnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lidal's supporters rose to their feet, but Slawomir Logewnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lidal's Diamantino das Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Lidal from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Martelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Barbosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Logewnik in the 40th minute of play forced Martelo FC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fabiano Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Diamantino das Neves made a huge save. In the 42nd match minute, Lidal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Gerber to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lidal booed when Martelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Richard de Queirós sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Fernando de Mendonça skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Slawomir Logewnik to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Fernando de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lidal. Slawomir Logewnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Diamantino das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Cipriano Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slawomir Logewnik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Fernando de Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, Chicão Gerber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Fernando de Mendonça. Chicão Gerber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Lidal's Reginaldo Eger got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Frederico Aparecido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Diamantino das Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Martelo FC's Carlos Fernando de Mendonça got control of the ball when Slawomir Logewnik tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Martelo FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Vítor Barros hit a great ball.
