The crowd rose to their feet as Lidice AD's Fiori Mello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fellipe Maia. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Gilmar Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Luís Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Maia having to interfere. When Fiori Mello came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Lidice AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Mello couldn't finish the play. Fiori Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fellipe Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Ortiz in the 34th minute of play forced Lidice AD's goalkeeper Gilmar Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Maia having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Fiori Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Pagode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Lidice AD's Gilmar Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Costa in the 45th minute of play. Zeca Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeca Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fiori Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lidice AD's zone, Zeca Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Lara came out of the goal and Zeca Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fellipe Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Sílvio Luiz Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64thth minute of the game Luís Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pagode's Fellipe Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Zeca Ortiz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilmar Lara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 71 minutes, Eliseu Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pagode's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Roberto Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fellipe Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lidice AD's Nilson Queirós got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Fiori Mello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fellipe Maia. Pagode's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fiori Mello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 90th minute, Eliseu Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fellipe Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Mello in the 95th minute of play. Roberto Fernandes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. If Luís Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lidice AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
