The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Arce got free with Sebastião Proença in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseu Pires in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th play minute Bernardinho Arce came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebastião Proença. 1-0. Sebastião Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Torres in the 23rd minute of the match. Delfim Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Salgado having to interfere. If Bernardinho Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Eliseu Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei de Lara in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Pires in the 42nd minute of play forced White Flames's goalkeeper Cipriano Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliseu Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Emanuel Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. White Flames's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, White Flames's Mathias Branco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mathias Branco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of White Flames protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mathias Branco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for White Flames! White Flames:s Cipriano Salgado showed great skill when he stopped Claudinei de Lara:s penalty. After having played for 62 minutes, Eliseu Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinada SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cipriano Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Salinada SS's Eliseu Pires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cipriano Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Luiz Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salinada SS and the White Flames players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cipriano Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Monteiro in the 70th minute of the match. Cipriano Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind White Flames's goalkeeper Cipriano Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Salinada SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Moura to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, José Vítor Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinada SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Pires received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cipriano Salgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseu Pires slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute Eliseu Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, White Flames's goalkeeper Cipriano Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Monteiro. Bernardinho Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Proença having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
