A collision led to Serra getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alan Vieira hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Serra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wellington Sá fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 37th minute Sandrinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Maranhense in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandrinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Lira having to interfere. Paraplégicos FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edinho de Senna 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When Wellington Sá came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Paraplégicos FC fans jumped to their feet. Wellington Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandrinho Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Rômulo Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serra's protests and gave Rômulo Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. Rômulo Dracena hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Wellington Sá sped through Serra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wellington Lira. Wellington Lira came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Sandrinho Maranhense put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wellington Lira. Paraplégicos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
