José Paulo Rosa started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, E.C. MOGIANA's Felipe Esteves got a free kick in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, E.C. MOGIANA's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando de Castro came free, but Nilton Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Fernando de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, RedEagle's Carlos Fernando de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilton Campidelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. E.C. MOGIANA's José Paulo Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, RedEagle's Danilo Brasil got control of the ball when Jano Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Carlos Fernando de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wágner Rezende during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wágner Rezende hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RedEagle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C. MOGIANA the free kick. A collision led to RedEagle getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Carlos Fernando de Castro hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, E.C. MOGIANA's Jano Seco tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Marcos Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RedEagle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C. MOGIANA the free kick. A collision led to RedEagle getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marcos Marquez hit a great ball. Danilo Brasil made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when José Paulo Rosa sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Fernando de Castro made a kick off. Delfim Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Carlos Fernando de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes Sandro de Sena shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Danilo Brasil when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, RedEagle's Inácio Furtado got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, José Paulo Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C. MOGIANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luiz Fábio de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Esteves made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adolfo Madureira immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in E.C. MOGIANA's zone, Carlos Fernando de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Campidelis came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When E.C. MOGIANA's José Paulo Rosa in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RedEagle's goalie prevented a goal. Danilo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nilton Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nilton Campidelis was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Carlos Fernando de Castro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Fernando de Castro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Luiz Fábio de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nilton Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RedEagle played a much better game than E.C. MOGIANA and deserved their victory. The E.C. MOGIANA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
