Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cido Melo got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Melo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulinho de Amaral saved Jucurutu EC from getting behind. If Paulão Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Cido Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulinho de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Jucurutu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Sarmento came free, but Paulinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Cido Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Jucurutu EC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Sousa. Paulão Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho de Amaral having to interfere. Paulinho de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paulão Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Celtic FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Sarmento couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Paulão Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edson Sousa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jucurutu EC's Paulinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Sarmento in the 25th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Jucurutu EC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Vianna. In the 30th minute of the match Carlos Barreto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulinho de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Jucurutu EC's Aílton Vianna got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cido Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With his leg Eriberto Cabral managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Jucurutu EC's Gildo Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eriberto Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jucurutu EC's Gildo Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Celtic FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christian Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Túlio Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Jucurutu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Carioca couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Celtic FC's Patrick Arantes got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes, Dedé Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celtic FC and the Jucurutu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jucurutu EC booed when Celtic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho de Amaral came out of the goal and Paulão Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Túlio Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Nascimento hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Jucurutu EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Duarte. The Celtic FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
