Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aníbal Brodel kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Pompeu SS booed when Galos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompeu SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galos the free kick. Aníbal Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Aníbal Brodel had several of the Galos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Roger Carioca as he didn't even see the shot coming. Galos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aníbal Brodel 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After having played for 23 minutes, Armandinho Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pompeu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galos's Caetano Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Galos's zone, Aníbal Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Carioca came out of the goal and Aníbal Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, one of Galos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Armandinho Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Carioca having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Brodel in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Carioca saved Galos from getting behind. Armandinho Mesquita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 47th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. Armandinho Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Roger Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Aníbal Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pompeu SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Armandinho Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Brodel in the 69th minute of the match. Roger Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Armandinho Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
