After 16 played minutes Iraucuba got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Couto. 18 minutes into the match, Iraucuba's goalkeeper Luís Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme Arantes. Iraucuba's Zézinho Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Guilherme Arantes could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Luís Brito however easily saved by the left post. Luís Guilherme Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Brito having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Luís Guilherme Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christiano Pires during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Raulzito FC's Christiano Pires got a free kick in the 43rd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinaldo Mineiro in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raulzito FC's Fred Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Raulzito FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Iraucuba booed when Raulzito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Rafinha Magalhães put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Raulzito FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iraucuba:s goal. Raulzito FC:s Fred Santana showed great skill when he stopped Wilson Arantes:s penalty. Fred Santana came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Iraucuba's Wilson Arantes. But to his dismay, Wilson Arantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fred Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Vaz in the 76th minute of play. Leonardo Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Custódio Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zézinho Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Raulzito FC had been in control for most of the match, Iraucuba still came away with the win.
