Itaimbe's Pedrão Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guarapara's Orlando Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Tavares in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Guarapara's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Tavares came free, but Orlando Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Orlando Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Tavares in the 18th minute of play forced Guarapara's goalkeeper Orlando Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Tavares made a kick off. In the 61st match minute, Guarapara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Negri to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Tavares in the 64th minute of play. When Pedrão Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Itaimbe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Tavares couldn't finish the play. Itaimbe's Gustavo da Costa suffered a fractured collar bone after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Guarapara getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valdemar Arruda hit a great ball. When Emanuel Negri came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Guarapara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Negri couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Guarapara's zone, Jonathan Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Leal came out of the goal and Jonathan Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Orlando Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
