Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Evandro Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Ricardinho Carioca made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guarapara's Orlando Leal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute of the match, Valdemar Arruda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquim das Neves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joaquim das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Negri in the 9th minute of the match. Eduardo Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Orlando Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dráusio Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Orlando Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráusio Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Leal having to interfere. Orlando Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Gomes in the 22nd minute of the match. If Dráusio Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Leal came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Piraju FC's Eduardo Cunha. But to his dismay, Eduardo Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Guarapara's Emanuel Negri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquim das Neves. That made the score 1-2 after 32 minutes of play. After 35 played minutes Guarapara got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Negri. Valdemar Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joaquim das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Guarapara booed when Piraju FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Arruda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim das Neves having to make a save. Valdemar Arruda struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Joaquim das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarapara.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráusio Gomes made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Dráusio Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piraju FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Piraju FC's Dráusio Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guarapara's Orlando Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Gomes in the 60th minute of play. When Eduardo Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Piraju FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Cunha couldn't finish the play. If Dráusio Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Valdemar Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarapara's protests and gave Valdemar Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. Guarapara's Orlando Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Gomes in the 75th minute of play. If Eduardo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Guarapara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ricardinho Carioca hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Piraju FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
