Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Coutinho started the match with the kick off. The referee ignored Quatipuru's protests and gave Durvalino Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Durvalino Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lourdes's Lino Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Brodel in the 12th minute of play. Davi Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Pirani having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lourdes's Caio Pitta got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Durvalino Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Davi Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quatipuru's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durvalino Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Soeiro having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Lourdes's Aluísio Soeiro threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Durvalino Coutinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Durvalino Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Soeiro having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Quatipuru's goalkeeper Aluísio Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio Pitta. Aluísio Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Davi Britto made the kick off in the second half. If Caio Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davi Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Cláudio Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Durvalino Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Claudinei de Souza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aluísio Soeiro skillfully saved the ball. Quatipuru's Aluísio Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Coutinho in the 66th minute of play. Lino Pirani made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Cláudio Prestes sent off a good shot on target. Durvalino Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aluísio Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Léo de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Caio Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aluísio Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aluísio Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Coutinho in the 82nd minute of play. Caio Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Aluísio Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quatipuru's goalkeeper Aluísio Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lourdes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by João Augusto Sarmento in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Caio Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aluísio Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davi Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Lino Pirani made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
