Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Júnior Messias took the kick off in the first half of the match. Brilhante's Américo Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Messias in the 5th minute of play. Gatos EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Edu Mello scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Andrade, making the score, 1-0. Beto Ceresso's late challenge caught a Gatos EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beto Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brilhante's Beto Ceresso got a free kick in the 9th minute. Kauã Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gatos EC's goalkeeper Enrique Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Brilhante booed when Gatos EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Valladares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edu Mello in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júnior Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Américo Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edu Mello's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Edu Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Mello in the 37th minute of play. Gatos EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Edu Mello scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Andrade, making the score, 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Christian Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Zé Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Eliseu Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Américo Valladares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Brilhante's Américo Valladares got control of the ball when Eliseu Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Fernandez got free with Américo Valladares in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Américo Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júnior Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Américo Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor de Souza hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brilhante's zone, Eliseu Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Valladares came out of the goal and Eliseu Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Jeferson Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Mello in the 73rd minute of play forced Gatos EC's goalkeeper Enrique Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Mello in the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Eliseu Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Américo Valladares. Brilhante's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 84th minute Edu Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When %teams%'s Eliseu Senna was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-3 just inside the left pole, 92 minutes into the game. Américo Valladares was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot.
