Tulhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrício Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. J.J J.J. breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Patrício Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Luisão Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.J J.J. saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tulhas's Luisão Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrício Tasso scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of J.J J.J., who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Uibai's zone, Patrício Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. J.J J.J. came out of the goal and Patrício Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Patrício Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Tulhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrício Tasso couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Patrício Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tulhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Uibai's Olavo Dias suffered a concussion in the 36th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 36 minutes into the game, Luisão Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tulhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uibai the free kick. In the 39th minute Luisão Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.J J.J. saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Tulhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Perez to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisão Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Enio Perez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Luisão Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tulhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrício Tasso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving J.J J.J.. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Patrício Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. J.J J.J. was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Tulhas's Patrício Tasso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of J.J J.J.. That made the score 0-5 after 66 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Uibai's Pedro Feal got a free kick in the 69th minute. Luisão Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. J.J J.J. tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Luisão Luz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. J.J J.J. made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Patrício Tasso sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute Luisão Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.J J.J. saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uibai's J.J J.J. proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Uibai from getting a goal against them. Patrício Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but J.J J.J. read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. J.J J.J. made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrício Tasso in the 87th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Uibai:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tulhas:s goal. If Luisão Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tulhas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
